On Wednesday 3 August 2011 at about 2:00am, a man entered a Shell service station on The Avenue, Ardeer.
The man approached the front counter and asked to purchase cigarettes at which time the attendant asked for identification.
It’s alleged the offender then produced a pistol, threatened the attendant and made demands for the cigarettes.
The man is described as Caucasian, aged in his late teens to early 20s and has a lip piercing. He was wearing a beanie, a black hooded jacket, a white T-shirt with a motif on the front, blue jeans, black and white shoes, black sunglasses and a necklace.
Police have released images of a man whom they believe may be able to assist them in their enquiries.
